Anton Shipulin- Olympic champion of 2014 in the relay and bronze medalist of the 2010 Olympics, four-time medalist of the world championships, eight-time winner of individual races in the World Cup, absolute champion of Europe among juniors, honored master of sports and simply an excellent biathlete.

Quote

Become an Olympic champion. This is probably the original dream, because I am now in sports. Probably, just as every soldier dreams of being a general, so every athlete dreams of being an Olympic champion. At the moment this is the most cherished dream. And after I definitely become one, I will dream of something else (July 2013).

Biography of Anton Shipulin

We invite you to get acquainted with the biography of Anton Shipulin, one of the strongest biathletes in the world. Olympic champion 2014 in the men's relay, bronze medalist of the 2010 Olympics in the men's relay. Four-time world championship medalist.

First steps in biathlon

Anton Shipulin was born on August 21, 1987 in Tyumen. From childhood he became interested in sports. This is not surprising, since his father Vladimir Ivanovich and mother Alla Abushaevna were professional skiers and biathlon, they are masters of sports. At first Anton became interested in cross-country skiing; his father became his first coach. The decision to switch to biathlon was made by him under the influence of his older sister Anastasia (now a two-time Olympic champion).

At the age of 15, Shipulin left his parents' home and moved to Khanty-Mansiysk. He entered the Sports and Youth Sports School, where coach Mikhail Novikov helped him take his first steps in biathlon. The young biathlete impressed the coaching staff of the sports school with his abilities and hard work.

Victories at the junior level

In 2004, having completed his studies at general education and sports schools, Shipulin returned to Tyumen. In his hometown, he entered law school. Anton successfully competed in youth competitions. After he twice took first place at the European festival, he was invited by the famous coach from Yekaterinburg, Vladimir Putrov. This mentor trained four Olympic champions, now including Shipulin.

The young biathlete came to Yekaterinburg to live and train in 2006. That same year, he became the world champion in the under-19 age category (U19) as part of the Russian relay team. These competitions took place in Presque Isle (USA).

2008 was a successful year for Shipulin. At the U21 World Championships, held in Ruhpolding, Germany, Anton won three gold medals and one silver in four disciplines. This is the best result for Russian juniors in history! In the same year, Shipulin won the U21 European Championship. He was able to win 4 gold.

Transition to men's biathlon and first Olympics

The achievement of the 20-year-old biathlete did not go unnoticed by the coaches of the men's biathlon team. He spent all the preparation for the 2008-2009 season in the main team of the country, whose senior coach was then Vladimir Alinin.

At the end of 2008, Anton Shipulin made his debut in the IBU Cup. At the stage in Martel val Martello (Italy), the young biathlete became a prize-winner in men's competitions for the first time. In the pursuit race, held on December 10, he won bronze, although he had only the 18th starting number in the sprint.

In January 2009, Shipulin competed in the World Cup for the first time, although it is difficult to call his debut successful. In the sprint race in Oberhof (Germany), the athlete took only 72nd place. He found himself in the same position in the final protocol after the sprint in Ruhpolding, at the next stage of the World Cup.

The coaches did not take the young biathlete to the 2009 World Championships. However, Shipulin got the opportunity to compete at the European Championships, which took place in Ufa. The first major international tournament among men brought him two bronze medals: in the sprint and relay.

After that, he was given the opportunity to try his hand again at the World Cup stages. In Khanty-Mansiysk, Anton was able to win his first qualifying points, winning 29th place in the pursuit.

Anton Shipulin in the relay at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver

The next season was more successful for Shipulin. He performed confidently at the December and January World Cup stages. In Pokljuka (Slovenia), Anton entered the top six for the first time, taking fifth place in the sprint. In Ruhpolding, a young biathlete, who was included in the relay, won his first victory in the World Cup.

None of the experts and fans were surprised by the inclusion of Shipulin in the Olympic team, which took part in. In Vancouver, Canada, Anton won bronze in the men's relay. Together with him, they participated in that race. In personal races, the young athlete was not so successful; his best achievement was getting into the top thirty.

On the way to Sochi 2014

After the end of the Olympic season, Anton, who by that time had received a law degree, entered the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy. This educational institution is part of the Ural Federal University.

In the next four-year Olympic cycle, Shipulin gradually took a leading position in the Russian team. Among his achievements in the first year after Vancouver, it is worth highlighting the victory in the sprint race and 3rd place in the pursuit at the World Cup in Antholz (Italy).

In the 2011-2012 season, the Russian biathlete won a high eighth place in the overall World Cup standings. Anton received bronze at the World Championships in Ruhpolding, having successfully performed in the pursuit race.

Shipulin also managed to win personal medals at the 2013 World Championships, which took place in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic). He took 2nd place in the mass start and 3rd place in the pursuit. According to the results of the World Cup, Anton again entered the top ten.

Olympic triumph

The 2013-2014 season did not start very successfully for the men's team, including Shipulin. But at the main competition of the four-year period, Russian biathletes performed excellently. Our team was able to win gold in the men's relay! Shipulin ran at the last, most important stage, after Ustyugov and.

Anton was close to an Olympic medal in the sprint. However, a miss in the final standing shooting moved him to fourth place in the final standings. Shipulin was only 6.4 seconds behind the Olympic champion, Norwegian Bjoerndalen.

Anton Shipulin's "golden" finish at the Olympic Games in Sochi

Together with Belarusian Daria Domracheva, Anton won the Race of Champions, which took place in Moscow at the very end of the season.

At the end of 2014, the Rossiya 2 TV channel, as part of the Golden Pedestal award, determined the best athlete of the year. Our hero fought for this honorary title with other victors of the past Olympic Games in Sochi - and. Shipulin scored 49.3%, 35.4% voted for Legkov, and 15.3% for An. So Anton became the best athlete in Russia in 2014.

Post-Olympic season

The Sochi Olympics and the Olympic gold medal gave new impetus to the career of the Russian biathlete. Before the start of the 2014/15 season, Shipulin wanted to try new training methods and switched to individual training. And it bore fruit. The post-Olympic season, without a doubt, can be called the best in the athlete’s career. And if previously Shipulin’s best result at the end of the season was eighth place in the overall World Cup standings, then in the 2014/15 season the results increased sharply, became stable, and Shipulin firmly took his place in the cohort of the best biathletes in the world. The Russian athlete finished that season in second place in the overall World Cup standings, while winning the Small Crystal Globe in the mass start.

The athlete still lives in Yekaterinburg, on June 20, 2015 he married Luiza Sabitova, and on December 15 of the same year the couple had their first child, who was named Dmitry. Anton is the founder and head of a charitable foundation. This foundation supports young athletes and children from orphanages and initiates the construction of sports facilities.

Sister of Anton Shipulin - from the carefree childhood of the leader of the Russian men's team, first prize money, Olympic gold and the move of her older sister Anastasia Kuzmina to Slovakia.

During the World Championships in Kontiolahti, SE special correspondent spoke with Anna Maslova (nee Shipulina). With one of the best biathletes of our time, Anton Shipulin, they are twins. My brother was born 5 minutes earlier. Anya, like all the other family members, started skiing early. Moreover, the mother, Alla Shipulina, is convinced that the youngest daughter would have achieved at least no less success than Anastasia and Anton. Since childhood, she showed Shipulin character and leadership qualities.

However, at the age of 14, Anna had health problems. Due to low hemoglobin, doctors strongly recommended that she skip a year of classes. The restless girl started studying, went to a modeling agency, and attended game training. She never returned to big-time sports. But she received two higher educations, got married, gave birth to a son, Mark, and is now working on a number of projects. In particular, he takes fans on biathlon tours. When traveling with her, fans have a huge bonus - through Anna they can directly convey gifts and wishes to members of the Russian national team.

– Let's start with your older sister, Olympic champion and leader of the Slovak national team Anastasia Shipulina. How is she doing now?

- Everything is fine. She, as you know, is pregnant. Initially, Nastya thought to perform this season, but then everything changed. Why not? She has already won the most important awards. But she continues to train and keep in shape. He takes care of his son Elisha - he meets him from school and sees him off. Well, at home she always has something to do. This is how we have her - instead of going to a restaurant, she will always prefer to cook food herself, and instead of hanging out, she will clean the apartment and create comfort.

– Where does she live now?

– In Bansko Bystrica. It is the third largest city in Slovakia. It reminds me of Tyumen. There, in the center, there is even a monument to Soviet soldiers who liberated Czechoslovakia from the Nazis in 1945. In September, her parents went to visit her. Finally, they put Nastya behind the wheel. Dad taught all week! But now she is constantly driving. Because her parents gave her a car for her 18th birthday. True, these were Zhiguli cars. But then Nastya was very afraid to drive, and they couldn’t persuade her to try. Now is the time.

– Is it true that she is incredibly popular in Slovakia?

- Nastya is not allowed entry there at all! You should have seen how they greeted her after Sochi... She, like the president, drove through the city center in a car with the top down, waving to everyone, and people shouted her name, applauded and simply went crazy.

– She wasn’t recognized right away, was she?

– Of course, still a new person, a foreigner. At first, some were wary of her. Everyone fell in love with Nastya after Vancouver. Not only did she win there, but she also performed the Slovak anthem on the podium with tears in her eyes. By the way, after the 2010 Olympic Games, she was higher in popularity ratings than the President of Slovakia, Ivan Gasparovic. I returned with him from Canada on the same plane.

– Do you remember how she left another country?

– In short: she wanted to stay in Russia. She got married, gave birth to Elisha, and planned to continue training with Leonid Guryev. The only thing she asked was permission to take her child with her to the training camp. But they didn’t meet her halfway. Plus they were not supported in the “Young Family” program. They wanted to buy an apartment in Tyumen. But it didn't work out. Despite seven medals at the junior world championships, many had doubts that she would be able to adequately return to the sport after the birth of her child.

– And she and her husband went to Slovakia?

– Her husband, Daniil, is from Kamchatka, but at that time he had already lived in Europe for 10 years. He suggested trying it. Or rather, first I went to Slovakia myself, scouted everything out, found out whether she would be accepted. And there they believed in Nastya. They allowed me to travel with my family for gatherings and provided me with apartments. I myself visited her in the first year, and I was immediately struck by how warm the atmosphere in the team was. She didn’t feel so comfortable in Russia. This immediately bore fruit. In the winter, I went with her to a couple of training camps, sat with Elisey, and Nastya focused on performing in the IBU Cup in order to gain enough points to participate in the World Cup. She, of course, succeeded. And then she suddenly immediately won silver in the mass start at the 2009 World Championships.

– If Nastya had stayed in Russia...

“We in the family are convinced that she would not have won Olympic gold.” There is a lot of competition in our team, enormous psychological pressure, and there is no talk of a warm atmosphere like the one in Slovakia. And Nastya is a special girl. She needs a gentle approach.

– After she won the World Championships in Korea, did they call her back?

- And how! They promised all conditions, including money and an apartment. But she sharply refused so that such questions would not arise again. Although, to be honest, when we sent her to Slovakia, we didn’t think it would be forever. They assumed that she would go there, look around, and return. And only when the question arose that she needed to renounce Russian citizenship did we truly become sad. It’s still hard to believe that Nastya is entering Russia on a visa. We see each other about twice a year now.

“You know your sister much better than anyone else.” Due to what qualities did she manage to win two Olympic sprints in a row?

“She says that her husband’s great merit is in this.” Daniil is a skier himself. You remember that before Vancouver, on December 31, 2009, she broke her arm during training? I had to train without a stick, on “only legs.” Before the start, she and her husband walked around the sprint circle, Danya told her where it was better to speed up and where to catch her breath. And, of course, the psychological attitude decided a lot. There were so many emotions! Nastya simply wiped Magdalena Neuner’s nose right away.

– Is it true that your brother constantly teases him about being 5 minutes older than you?

– He says this all the time! This was especially common in childhood. Of course, we fought and argued. And then there was no time for that anymore. As it was with us - Nastya washes the dishes, Antokha vacuums, I wipe the dust. Then my sister started going to training camps and competitions - the dishes went to me. Then her brother followed her. When he first left, I thought: “Damn, now I have to do the vacuuming too. We kept coming up with excuses for ourselves not to bother around the house.” And so Anton and I constantly spent time together. Even at school they sat at the same desk.

– Who copied from whom?

- I'm with him ( laughs). But we were not excellent students. After all, sports occupied most of my life. Anton and Nastya managed to take karate, and Nastya even tried herself in figure skating.

– You probably spent your entire childhood on the street?

- Certainly! They ran around in the yard, doused themselves with water from bottles, climbed on the roofs of garages, and we were one of the first to have a moped. I was such a “tomboy” because Antokha constantly dragged me with him. I even remember how my dad took us fishing for the first time at the dacha. Since then, her brother has been crazy about her.

– How did your brother pay you for having to vacuum for him?

– When Anton had his first successes, after the competition he constantly gave me part of the prize money. Growing up together, he remembers how we collected pocket money for candy and chewing gum, and understood that at that time I did not have financial independence. Of course, I refused, and then, when he left, I found a package in the nightstand or somewhere else.

– Are parents the first people Anton calls after victories?

– After defeats, he calls even more often. Although now he treats them easier. He has matured. Previously, in the team I looked up to Vanya Tcherezov, then to Zhenya Ustyugov, now many are following his example. He loves to tease everyone, thanks to which the situation always quickly diffuses.

– What is Anastasia’s role in Anton’s development as a biathlete?

– You probably didn’t leave the stadium at Sochi 2014?

– Yes, every day we drove the “Laura” as if we were going to work.

– Did you meet after the sprint, in which Anton was separated from victory by one accurate shot?

- His parents met with him. We just called each other. It was clear how hard it was for him. Anton tried to disconnect from everything, changed his phone number so that no one would bother him. We saw each other only on the eve of the relay. He found out that we wanted to make guest accreditations to see the Olympic village and immediately made a fuss. Like, why didn’t they tell me? And we didn’t want to distract him again; we wanted to resolve the issue through Maxim Chudov. As a result, Anton gave us a tour of the village, we watched the women's relay race together, then talked and laughed. I think it relieved him. Yes, and we also changed our approach. Before this, before each race, all they did was think about how Anton would win. And after this meeting they calmed down. We decided: “As it should be, so it will be.”

– After the relay victory, you didn’t see each other right away?

– Only in Yekaterinburg. We hugged and looked at this beautiful medal.

– Are the awards kept by your parents?

– Yes, the main part is in Michurino, in the family museum. There are two large shelves - from floor to ceiling. One part is Nastya’s medals and awards, which she won as part of the Russian team, the second is Anton’s. Olympic medals are, of course, kept in a safe and are displayed in exceptional cases. And two months ago, the parents made an additional stand for gifts from fans. There are a lot of them!

– Is there any homemade dish that Anton still asks for?

“You don’t need to ask mom for anything.” She always brings a lot of things. Anton tells her that there is no need, but over the years nothing has changed - she is still lucky, and he overeats. Borscht, dumplings, pancakes – there are many options.

– How often do you and your brother see each other?

– Thanks to tourist tours, it turns out more often. Although even at training camp he always has a schedule.

– Is it cool when a brother and sister win the Olympic Games?

- Very! But we have a sports family, and everyone understands what these medals are worth. Not every fan realizes how much they sacrifice for their goal. Here's a story for you. A long time ago, when Anton and the team came to training camp in Tyumen, I decided to prepare a surprise for him. I bought tickets to the concert of Grigory Leps. I previously agreed on everything with coach Vladimir Baryshnikov, and he released Anton from the second training session. He said that for the sake of Leps it was possible. In general, everything was agreed upon. But my brother didn’t go...

- Why?

“He said that he couldn’t go and rest while his comrades were training.” The plan is the same for everyone. He didn’t skip training for a concert, even if it was his favorite performer. Anton is completely dedicated to his work. How many times has he finished with darkness before his eyes... The price of the medal is much higher than many people think.

Famous Russian biathlete Anton Shipulin(full name Shipulin Anton Vladimirovich) was born in the Russian city of Tyumen. This significant event occurred in 1987, on August 21. Anton Shipulin is a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games in the Canadian city of Vancouver in 2010 and the absolute European biathlon champion in 2008 among juniors.
Anton Shipulin's parents are also athletes. His father, Vladimir Ivanovich Shipulin, and mother, Alla Abushaevna Shipulina, are masters of sports in biathlon and cross-country skiing. Anton and his older sister Nastya started playing sports as children. At first, Anton Shipulin began ski racing under the supervision of his father, but when he saw the rifle of his sister Anastasia, who was involved in biathlon, he immediately became interested in this sport.
In 2002, Anton Shipulin began training with Mikhail Novikov in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk, under whose leadership the now famous biathlete trained.
Two years later, Anton Shipulin returned to the city of Tyumen and entered the local law institute to study as a lawyer.
After Anton Shipulin won the European Youth Festival twice, he was noticed by Vladimir Putrov (remember that he trained such Olympic champions as Evgeny Redkin, Yuri Kashkarov and Alexander Popov). In 2006, Anton Shipulin moved to live and train in the city of Yekaterinburg at the suggestion of Vladimir Putrov.
In 2006 at the Biathlon World Championships Anton Shipulin won as part of the relay in the city of Presque Isle. A year later, he took second place in the individual race in the Italian city of Val Martello. At the 2007 European Biathlon Championships, Anton Shipulin won a gold medal in the relay, a bronze medal in the pursuit and a silver medal in the sprint.
The next year, 2008, can be called golden for Anton Shipulin. At the world championship in the German city of Ruhpolding, Anton Shipulin won the pursuit and sprint, six milestones (and in a row) Anton Shipulin “made” to zero. He also won the relay race, together with Pavel Magazeev, Viktor Vasiliev and Dmitry Blinov. Anton Shipulin took second place in the individual race, missing once.
To repeat the record of German biathlete Fabian Mund, Shipulin lacked just over half a second of time. Let us recall that Mund managed to win four gold medals in 2000. Anton Shipulin won three gold and one silver medal, which became a record for our juniors. Anton Shipulin in the same year became the absolute European champion, he won the relay and three personal races.
Anton Shipulin was prepared for the 2008-2009 sports season by coach V.A. Alikin. The coaches decided that Anton Shipulin would begin his sports season by participating in IBU competitions. In the pursuit competition, which took place in December 2008 in the city of Val Martello, Anton Shipulin started from eighteenth position. He was able to get into the top three of the race.
In January 2009 Anton Shipulin participated in the Biathlon World Cup. In the city of Oberhof, Anton Shipulin showed only seventy-second result in the sprint. In Ruhpolding - exactly the same result. Anton Shipulin I just didn’t have time to restore my body after a cold and heavy stress at the training camp. The coaches decided not to send Anton Shipulin to the 2009 world championship in the Korean city of Pyeongchang. Anton began preparing for the European Biathlon Championships. In the capital of Bashkiria, the city of Ufa, Anton Shipulin took third place in the sprint and relay race at the European Biathlon Championships. After this, Anton Shipulin earned the right to take part in the Biathlon World Cup again.
According to the results of the pursuit race at the World Cup Anton Shipulin became twenty-ninth. He earned twelve points in the race and finished the season ninety-third overall.
The 2009-2010 Olympic sports season went very well for Anton Shipulin. He was recognized as the best sniper on our team. Anton Shipulin became one of the leaders of the Russian national biathlon team. He became a member of the Russian biathlon team at the Olympic Games in the Canadian city of Vancouver in 2010.
Anton Shipulin has been studying for a master's degree at the Institute of Physical Education since 2010.

Anton Vladimirovich Shipulin is a famous Russian biathlete. Olympic champion (relay, 2014). He won prizes at world championships five times. He is an Honored Master of Sports.

Childhood

Anton Shipulin was born in Tyumen in 1987. From birth, the child’s fate was predetermined, since his parents were professional biathlon and skiers. His father, Vladimir Ivanovich, began training Anton when he was barely 3 years old. Together with the hero of this article, his sisters, Nastya and Anya, also worked. Anton's mother, Alla Abushaevna, like her husband, was a professional athlete. Moreover, both Shipulin’s parents had the title of master of sports (in biathlon and cross-country skiing).

During the period of perestroika, Alla Abushaevna and Vladimir Ivanovich changed their occupation. Now their professions were not related to sports. One of his mother’s friends began to train Anton. Shipulin was engaged in skiing until the age of 14. Around the same period, his sister Anastasia became seriously involved in biathlon. One day after training she brought the rifle home. Anton developed a great interest in this weapon. He spent a long time trying to persuade his sister to let him touch the rifle. Immediately after this, the young man firmly decided to connect his future life with biathlon.

Training and studies

In 2002, Anton Shipulin came to Mikhail Novikov, an experienced mentor who then collaborated with Svetlana Sleptsova. The young man moved to Khanty-Mansiysk and began training. This event determined his entire future life.

In 2004, the hero of this article graduated from school. His parents insisted that Anton receive a higher education. Therefore, he entered the Tyumen Law University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. It was not easy for him to study. Despite the fact that Shipulin was seriously involved in biathlon, the teachers did not make him any concessions. They demanded knowledge from him, not rewards. Therefore, Anton spent nights rewriting lectures and notes, memorizing the rules of law. And during the day the young man trained until exhaustion.

Carier start

Even during his studies, Anton Shipulin actively participated in various junior competitions. At one of the tournaments in 2006, he was noticed by coach Vladimir Putrov. Soon Anton received an invitation from an eminent mentor and moved to Yekaterinburg. From then on, a new round in Shipulin’s sports biography began. Also in 2006, he showed his first serious result - he won gold (relay) at the World Championships.

The next year brought the Russian biathlete several awards at once. Among them, relay gold, sprint silver and pursuit bronze were especially valuable. In general, the athlete loudly declared himself in professional biathlon. Photos of Anton Shipulin began to appear in various sports publications. And in 2008, the athlete was included in the Russian national team. The biathlete is still a member of it. At the World Championships, Shipulin won both the pursuit and sprint stages. Anton also became first in the relay race. Also that year, the young man won the European championship title.

Defeats and victories

At the 2009 World Championships, Anton Shipulin's biathlon was not very good. In the sprint, the young athlete finished only in 72nd place. But this result could be explained quite logically - training as part of the national team left a certain imprint on the athlete. That is, by the start of the competition, Anton simply did not have time to recover. But soon the athlete entered into an optimal training schedule for himself and at the end of 2010 he became the undisputed leader of the team.

Vancouver Olympics

Anton Shipulin got to these competitions mainly due to his previous achievements. In Vancouver he was unable to show good biathlon. It was hard to compete with famous athletes. In addition, Anton had no experience of performing at such competitions. As a result, Shipulin received only a bronze medal in the relay. The athlete spent his stage brilliantly, never missing a single shot at the shooting range.

In the 2011-2013 seasons, Anton showed only stable results at the World Cup, both in skiing and shooting. Thanks to hard training, the biathlete took only prize-winning places in various stages of the competition. Now marksmanship has become the athlete's calling card.

Olympics in Sochi

This was the main event in the athlete’s life. At this point, Shipulin was one of the leaders of the Russian national team. Everyone had high hopes for the biathlete. This was partly due to his success in the pre-Olympic season. Anton himself admitted in an interview that the biathlon track in Sochi is quite treacherous.

For many days our biathletes could not get on the podium. Everything changed on February 22. This was the last day of competition. The men's team managed to win gold in the relay. Shipulin, Ustyugov, Malyshko and Volkov gave their best. Well, the main credit for this victory still belongs to Anton, who simply brilliantly completed the fourth stage. For this, the biathlete received the Order of Friendship from President Vladimir Putin. It is worth noting that before this Olympics, the Russian team had not won the relay for more than 34 years.

world Cup

In 2016, Shipulin performed well at these competitions. In Östersund, Anton suffered a setback. But he fully recovered in Pokljuka at the second stage, winning bronze twice in individual races. He also helped the team win silver in the relay. In the city of Nove Mesto (Czech Republic), Shipulin again pleased the fans and came second, behind only Martin Fourcade.

Personal life

For fans of the biathlete, this area remained a secret for a long time. The athlete did not like to talk about this to journalists and tried not to let anyone into his personal space. He has repeatedly stated in interviews that the paramount thing in his life is exclusively biathlon.

Only once did the athlete admit that he had a girlfriend with whom he lived together. Soon the media managed to find out her name. Anton's girlfriend was Luiza Sabitova from Tyumen. In May 2015, Shipulin proposed marriage to her right in the cinema. When the lights in the hall went out, not a standard advertisement appeared on the screen, but a video in which Anton talked about how happy he was with Louise. The young man thanked her for his sporting successes. Shipulin also said that he wants to meet old age with her, surrounded by grandchildren. After the end of the video, the lights turned on and Anton appeared in the hall. The athlete knelt in front of Louise, gave her a bouquet of roses and a box with a ring. The audience was delighted! Many media outlets covered this event at that time. And two months later the lovers got married. The celebration took place on Lake Shartash. In December of the same year, Anton Shipulin's wife gave birth to his son. The athlete was very happy.

Recently there was a rumor that Anton Shipulin divorced his wife. This is actually not true. Anton and Louise are still together. The couple is raising a son and has no plans to break off the relationship.

Mother of two children.

Luiza Tairovna Sabitova was born in 1988. Judging by her last name, the girl’s nationality is Tatar or Bashkir. Louise is a year younger than her famous husband. Since the girl was never a media person, little is known about her biography before meeting Shipulin.

Louise rarely gives interviews, but she has an account on "Instagram". As a child, Louise lived in the settlement of Andra on the Ob River, in the north of the Tyumen region.

Career

After graduating from the Andrinsk secondary school in 2005, she moved to Tyumen, where she entered a local college. Living in Tyumen, Louise often changed jobs.

A few years after graduating from college, she finally decided to continue her education. The girl became a student at the Ural Institute of the Stock Market.

Personal life

In 2012, by chance, while flipping through pages on the Internet, Anton Shipulin saw an attractive girl. The young people began to correspond, and after a while, when Anton arrived at the sports club of his native Tyumen at the end of summer, they met. The girl did not immediately find out about the young man’s field of activity. At first, Shipulin laughed off questions about his profession. The athlete sometimes wanted to be a simple person, and Louise was the only one who did not discuss biathlon with him.

In September, the athlete invited Louise to his parents’ house to meet his family. The parents liked the girl. A month later, the couple already flew to training camp in Austria. Since then, Louise began going with Anton to all training camps. The only exceptions were periods of competition, to which athletes are prohibited from taking loved ones.

After some time, Louise and Anton moved to Ekaterinburg, which had already become Anton’s home. Fans of the biathlete immediately noticed the attractive companion of their idol and were happy for him. The very first joint photos on Instagram were marked by many friendly comments.

Anton immediately began teaching the girl to ski. Louise first mastered the classical style, for this she often went to classes at the Pine Creek club with coach Ivan Alypov, and then Anton taught her the “skate” style. The couple can be seen together not only on the ski slopes. They love to ride horses and rollerblade around the city. Anton and Louise are planning a trip to Baikal. They both love nature and camping.

In the spring of 2015, the girl told her lover that she was pregnant. This news delighted Anton, since he and Louise had long dreamed of a small miracle. On May 7, a significant event took place for the couple: the biathlete asked his beloved to marry him. This happened in an unusual way at the Cinema Park cinema before watching the film “The Dawns Here Are Quiet.” It was a movie night and Louise didn't know anything about the surprise. During the commercial, amateur footage appeared on the screen.

A young athlete appeared before the audience and began a short story about himself, about his love for Louise. Footage of a smiling girl and scenes of joint walks flashed across the screen. At the end of the video there was a feeling that Anton was jumping from the screen directly onto the stage. After the spotlights were lit, a young man with a gorgeous bouquet and ring appeared in the hall. He approached his beloved and beautifully proposed to her. A beaming Louise gave her consent to the applause of those present.

The Shipulins' wedding was also unusual. The celebration took place on June 20, 2015. Anton rented a large raft on the lake where the wedding took place. After this, all participants in the event moved to wide holiday tents that stood on the shore of the reservoir.

Among the guests one could meet athletes, the governor and artists of the Ural KVN team. Attended the wedding with my wife, and... At the initiative of Anton’s friend Ilya Trifanov, foreign biathletes – and – recorded a video with congratulations. And Chelyabinsk musicians composed a track for such a special occasion.

Within six months, there was an addition to the young family: Louise gave birth to a happy father’s son, who was named Dmitry. The newborn's weight was 4.29 kg and height was 55 cm.

After the birth of the baby, Louise stopped accompanying her husband at training camps; she was busy with the baby. But the newlyweds still find time to relax together on the seaside.

On February 7, 2019, Anton became a father for the second time. Louise gave her husband a daughter, Mira. The girl was born with a weight of 3634 grams and a height of 55 cm. The happy parents hid the second pregnancy from everyone until the very end.

The wife has already studied Anton's tastes. The athlete never refuses creamy pasta with chicken and mushrooms, and when abroad he misses dumplings and borscht, which Louise makes excellent.

Luiza Shipulina now

Luiza Shipulina continues to live with her family in Yekaterinburg. Since the wedding, Anton Shipulin's career has skyrocketed. For four seasons in a row, the athlete was among the top three best biathletes in the overall World Cup standings, second only to the Frenchman and the Norwegian. And in 2017, Anton Shipulin became the biathlon world champion. Of course, Anton’s success on the track was also influenced by family happiness, the comfort that Louise creates at home.

The wife studied the athlete’s character and developed her own tactics to support her husband. In his sports career, Anton experienced not only successes, but also defeats. In such cases, Louise tried not to discuss the results of the performance without delay.

According to Shipulina in an interview, Anton is prone to introspection and often reproached himself for mistakes on the track. In this case, communication with your son helps. Dima always evokes positive emotions in Anton.

The year leading up to the Olympic Games was a busy one. Anton trained a lot, preparing for a trip to Korea for the 2018 Olympics, so the news that he was going to compete was a real blow for the athlete and his family. Moreover, Anton was never found using prohibited substances; the athlete even avoided taking vitamins before competitions.

Having not received an explanation from the IOC for the letter that Anton Shipulin immediately sent, he decided not to give up, but continued to participate in regional competitions and work on the development of a sports charity fund. The joy for the family was that Anton’s sister had the opportunity to become a three-time Olympic champion in Korea. The athlete dedicated the gold medal to her brother.

Now the worries about missing the Olympics are over. In December 2018, Shipulin made a decision. Not all fans accepted this difficult decision of the athlete, but relatives and loved ones supported Anton, who further plans to build a political career.
