Assessment of the physical fitness of military personnel table calculator. Physical fitness standards in the army for contract soldiers and some aspects of service

  • 10.01.2024

Military service is not only the constitutional duty of every man in the country, but also an incredible test for young people. A sharp change in microclimate, everyday life and environment, all types of stress, special training require strength and endurance. For this reason, the army pays special attention to compliance with physical physical fitness standards developed specifically for military personnel. This is a set of activities that includes several types of loads aimed at improving the functioning of different muscles, physical strength and health of men.

Introduction to the topic

The most striking information from world history regarding military strength training has been known since the times of Ancient Greece. Military leaders regularly trained soldiers in several sports, including swimming, martial arts, athletics, and strength training. The need for physical development of men was a prerequisite for military service, since each of them was trained to perform combat missions.

On the territory of the Russian Federation, military service is served in several directions. These include:

  • employed military personnel, that is, those working under a contract (the position held may be related to administrative functions, training of soldiers, as well as participation in combat operations);
  • conscripts (a category of military personnel undergoing military service, that is, the training of men is carried out on the basis of the Constitution, and is organized with the aim of developing basic skills, knowledge and abilities);
  • special units (a group of soldiers taking an active part in combat missions, both on the territory of Russia and abroad);
  • cadets and cadets (students of higher educational institutions preparing for contract work).

Depending on the assigned tasks, as well as the nature of serving military service, each soldier must perform exercises to test the degree of strength training.

The formation of a scale of standards is carried out on the basis of Order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation No. 200, adopted in 2009. In addition, the exercises (mechanism) used in practice are described in detail, as well as the rules for their implementation. Some sections contain graphical representations of exercises.

According to the standards of this document, the verification uses a point system, which is compiled taking into account such indicators as age, position, gender, rank.

Important! When organizing testing, it is imperative that a medical professional be present to monitor blood pressure and pulse rate in order to stop the exercise in a timely manner.

General requirements for physical training and passing standards

According to the norms of Order No. 200, physical training is a process whose purpose is to improve the physical qualities of a military personnel. The scoring table is created based on individual characteristics, demographic indicators and the requirements of a particular position.

Thus, the following main areas of military training can be distinguished:

  • agility (a set of activities aimed at the ability to quickly respond to changing environmental conditions, as well as making decisions when there is not enough time and in emergency situations);
  • speed (development of skills of fast movement on all types of terrain, including when overcoming obstacles);
  • strength exercises (general strengthening exercises, as well as those promoting the growth of muscle mass);
  • hand-to-hand combat techniques (including methods of self-defense, methods of arrest, disarming, evading a pistol and stabbing, as well as methods of releasing from grips);
  • endurance (obtaining satisfactory results in uncomfortable conditions);
  • swimming (applies only during conscription into the Air Force and Navy).

The main general requirement for candidates and active military personnel is comprehensive development and the ability to complete a list of exercises at least at a minimum level.

Assessment methods

Order No. 200 fixed a list of methods used in assessing the physical fitness of conscripts and contract soldiers.

Table No. 1 “Used directions and their features”

TechniquesCharacteristic
Training sessionsThese types of training apply to all positions and branches of the military. Moreover, it is stipulated that regular theoretical and practical training should be conducted with the personnel of a military formation. During theory lessons, basic skills and abilities are formed, and then the learned material is tested in practice. This group also includes educational and training sessions on various types of physical activity. It is also mandatory to provide instructions and formulate methodological recommendations for the correct execution of exercises.
Daily morning exercisesComplex exercises aimed at overall strengthening of the body. During the exercises, the entire condition of the military is assessed, and possible disorders and illnesses are identified.
Combat trainingAll activities related to the preparation of personnel for combat operations. Includes a set of exercises for endurance, reaction speed and strength. Assessment of acquired skills is carried out during educational and training missions
Mass sportsConducting complex classes and competitions between different military formations or training groups. The score is calculated on the principle of “who shows himself better”
Self-preparationThe order sets out a training plan during free time, the purpose of which is to maintain the general tone of the body.

In addition to everything, you can additionally add medical methods to the above list. This is theoretical knowledge on the basis of which the formation of boundary load indicators (age, height, weight) is carried out. Doctors from military institutions conduct regular examinations of employees to identify frustration or fatigue, and may also be present during practical training and exams.

PHYS score table

As mentioned above, the standards are passed on the basis of a point system, where the maximum score is 100 points. The final grade is calculated as the sum of all indicators and grades for them. Thus, it is possible to obtain the following marks:

  • “bad” (0-35);
  • “good” (36-60);
  • “excellent” (61-100).

The most important condition that must be taken into account is the age of the serviceman. Thus, there are 8 age groups of physical fitness, which are taken as the basis for the formation of loads.

Given the specifics of the activity, complete exemption from physical activity, as well as passing standards, is not allowed. The exception is significant contraindications from the doctor.

Standards for military personnel under contract

Physical physical education for military personnel is not only one of the ways to assess acquired skills, but also one of the stages of selecting candidates for employment. Since contract service involves the payment of wages and the fulfillment of a certain list of official duties, the candidate is accepted based on the results of a competition.

Thus, the selection of candidates based on strength training is carried out on special principles:

  • passing at least 3 standards is required;
  • all results must be positive (the failure of even one of the indicators excludes the possibility of hiring);
  • The applicant for signing the contract can choose independently which exercises to take.

After employment, a citizen must continue to play sports and then pass the relevant exams.

Important! The quality of the selected exercises affects not only the fact of employment. Depending on the results obtained, contract soldiers are also distributed to different positions and types of troops.

So, there are 3 possible groups of positions, namely:

  1. Special units, intelligence service, air force, paratroopers.
  2. Participants in combat operations.
  3. Workers in the material support sector, as well as medical care.

Each applicant is interested in passing the exercises at the highest level.

Standards for conscript soldiers

When recruiting soldiers into the army, the fact that most of them arrive physically unprepared for excessive stress is taken into account. Consequently, the table for assessing the physical fitness of such military personnel is somewhat easier than for contract soldiers. The standards are calculated taking into account the time that will be allocated for training conscripts.

In addition, depending on the region, other types of regulations may be added. For example, swimming classes and tests are relevant in some areas.

There is no need to be afraid of these numbers, since the daily routine of employees is structured in such a way that time is necessarily allocated for physical activity. This could be morning exercises, jogging before bed, as well as planned physical exercise. In any case, the standards are drawn up based on the recommendations of doctors, many years of experience and practice.

Male. A version for military women is in development. Please, if you find an error or inconsistency, write about it in the comments at the end of the article.

In 2009, the Minister of Defense issued Order No. 200 “On approval of the Manual on physical training in the RF Armed Forces.” Based on this document, as well as guidelines for checking physical. training in the Armed Forces for the current year there is a real online PHYS calculator for military personnel. It allows you to quickly calculate points based on the standards in 2019.

Military categories and ratings

Despite the modern equipment of the army, where, it would seem, the use of physical effort is not required, the military still must comply with physical training standards, and no one questions this requirement. Equipment, no matter how perfect it may be, can fail, and then the outcome of the battle depends only on the strength, endurance, and dexterity of the soldier. For this reason, the above documents enshrine those forms and methods of training military personnel in Russia that have been used for decades in the Soviet Union.

The evaluation criteria depend on the category to which the employee belongs. They are different for:

  • conscript service;
  • contract services;
  • those undergoing training at universities in military departments;
  • warrant officers or midshipmen and officers;
  • employees of special units.

Separately, standards are provided for the female gender, both for technical and staff areas, and combat units, as well as applicants to relevant educational institutions.

Strength, agility and endurance

Training assessment is carried out in several directions in the same way. Exercises are divided into strength exercises, development of agility, speed and endurance of the employee. Military applied skills are also assessed.

For example, for agility there are long jumps and goat jumps. Squats and the bar show strength training. Races allow you to determine an employee's speed over short distances and endurance over long distances. With the help of forced marches of one or another duration, the level of military-applied skills is determined.

Regulation No. 17 to the above-mentioned Order of the Minister of Defense defines a detailed list of all exercises, however, when passing the standards, it is not necessary to do everything. They are appointed based on the employee's performance. One exercise is selected from each group, and it must be completed in order to pass the standard.

For example, conscripts who arrived at the HF must do pull-ups, run distances of 100 m and 1 km. Those who enter the university must do pull-ups, run 100 m and 3 km distances, and swim 100 m.

Evaluation of results

For each exercise, an employee can receive a rating of “excellent,” “good,” “satisfactory,” or “unsatisfactory.” The assessment process as a whole is carried out by assigning points for all exercises separately, but you will not be able to retake them to improve your grade. Each employee is given only one approach, however, this procedure does not apply to persons who are sick or injured during the inspection.

Individual cards are issued for employees, taking into account physical results. preparation. The same data is reflected in the statement of inspection results.

Consequences of failure

Employees are required to pass all standards. Anyone who receives an excellent mark will receive various incentives, including cash rewards. If the standards are not met, then the consequences depend on the category.

Conscripts will continue to serve, increasing their level of physical fitness, while contract soldiers will be given a 5-month test. If the standards are not passed again, then the question is raised about the prospect of the army soldier being in the ranks of the RF Armed Forces. It is generally impossible to enroll in a military department without the proper level of preparation. The standards here are assessed as an exam. The same conditions apply to those wishing to join the army on a contract basis.

No one has canceled military service, so if you are a young man who is planning to repay his debt to the Motherland, then this article is for you. This time we will examine such an issue as Physical standards for military personnel under contract 2018 by category. Why is this so important? Yes, if only because the army is a school of life for a man, which means that the physical activity there will be significant. You can download the table of physical education standards for military personnel at the end of the article. Well, now let's take it in order.

As you know, physical activity is really serious in the army, and it doesn’t matter which troops you serve in. So the standards for 2018 provided by our specialists are a kind of cheat sheet, thanks to which a potential soldier can prepare himself for service.

Mandatory physical standards for contract service for the current year

As many should know, people in the age category from 19 to 35 years old on the territory of the Russian Federation enter the army. Plus, the candidate must have a secondary or higher education, as well as professional suitability of the first or second category. Often, candidates with the third category pass through when the military registration and enlistment office does not recruit the required number of fighters.

Health is a separate topic. If a contract soldier of the first category, then everything is in order. If the second or third, some restrictions and reservations will come into play, which will not interfere with contract service.

Let's say there are no health problems. The potential soldier is sent along with all the necessary documents to the military registration and enlistment office for registration, or to a certain selection point. Initially, a special conversation will be held with the young man to identify the candidate’s knowledge and abilities, as well as in which troops he would prefer to serve. Next, the order of passing the commissions is distributed step by step, after which the young man passes the standards.

So, all commissions have been passed and the standards have been passed. After three working days, the candidate is informed whether he is fit for service in the armed forces of the Russian Federation or not. As for the physical education standards, this is a mandatory requirement, but there is a caveat: the candidate has the right to independently choose what he will take.

There are several categories for passing the standards. We are talking about exercises for strength, speed and endurance. Do not forget that factors of the age category and, of course, the gender of the candidate are also taken into account.

Let's see what exercises are offered:

  1. Male candidate under 30 years old: push-ups – 45 times; pull-ups – 10 times; running 60 m in 9.8 seconds; running 100 m in 15.1 seconds; shuttle run 10x10 in 28.5 seconds. Endurance test: run 3 km 14.4 min; running 1 km – 4.2 min; skiing 5 km – 28 min.
  2. Male candidate over 30 years old: push-ups – 40 times; pull-ups – 8 times; running 60 m in 10 seconds; running 100 m in 15.8 seconds; shuttle run 10x10 in 29.5 seconds. Endurance test: run 3 km 0 15.15 min; 1 km run – 4.45 min; skiing 5 km – 29 min.
  3. Female candidate under 25 years old: push-ups – 12 times; press (torso bends) – 25 times; 60 m run – in 12.9 seconds; without 100 m in 19.5 seconds; shuttle run 10x10 in 38 seconds. Endurance test: 1 km run – 5.2 min.
  4. Female candidate over 25 years old: push-ups – 10 times; press (torso bends) – 20 times; 60 m run – in 13.9 seconds; without 100 m in 20.5 seconds; shuttle run 10x10 in 38 seconds. Endurance test: 1 km run – 5.45 min.

Questions and answers

What are the physical physical fitness standards for tactical and special training of a reconnaissance officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia?

The question is quite complex, since we are talking about the penal system and its paramilitary elements. These guys, as a rule, work in the most extreme conditions, and therefore they are prepared, taught to act skillfully and quickly respond to any situation. This does not apply to ordinary military personnel, since in special tactical training, employees are trained to perform combat missions under emergency circumstances, and it does not matter whether it is peacetime or martial law has been introduced.

The Russian Army is provided with the latest equipment, which does not require extensive strength training to use; however, the physical training of employees remains an indispensable condition for service in the ranks of the Armed Forces. Indicators of human endurance are used in the selection of military personnel, including the practice of performing physical training tasks.

  • contract workers;
  • conscript service;
  • specialized structures;
  • students of higher educational institutions;
  • officers and warrant officers.

Considering that today a large number of female representatives serve in the ranks of the Russian army, not only at work at headquarters or dealing with technical issues, but also in combat units, standards for assessing physical endurance are provided for them, based on their age group. By the way, for applicants to specialized universities, it is also provided for the implementation of established workloads.

Requirements for employees undergoing military service

Based on the results of the physical fitness assessment, soldiers are assigned to combat missions. They are given 2 weeks to demonstrate the following indicators:

  • do pull-ups on the bar at least 10 times;
  • do push-ups up to 45 times;
  • 100m run in 15 seconds;
  • 3 km cross-country in 14 minutes.

Such standards have also been established for military personnel working under a contract and no older than 30 years of age. The decisive factor should be an endurance assessment carried out in favorable weather conditions. If the weather does not allow this requirement to be met, then the tests are scheduled in a closed building.

When developing military training standards, the general development of today's youth, which is characterized by inactivity and a sedentary lifestyle, was taken into account. They lead to rapid fatigue of the body, so when carrying out testing activities it is necessary to take this into account in order to stop performing tasks in time and prevent a person from becoming seriously ill.

Indicators for military personnel serving under contract

The requirements for employees who have entered into a contract are aimed at a high level of professional and physical training in comparison with conscripts, but at the same time they are divided by age, since during this period the place of work activity becomes the service at the location of the units, and the performance of duties inevitably involves to significant physical costs. For applicants to sign such a contract, standards are provided in the field of psychology, as well as in professional terms, which help to identify the level of suitability of the candidate to perform job duties. Thus, for males under the age of 30, the same standards apply as for conscript soldiers. For those who are over 30 years old, you must complete:

  • spin 40 times;
  • pull-ups on the horizontal bar at least 8 times;
  • running 100 m in 16 seconds, and 3 km in 15 minutes.

However, these indicators are standard and do not apply to all military personnel. There are structures in which the level of physical endurance is much higher. To determine the candidate’s capabilities, his physical fitness is assessed in order to determine where the soldier should be sent for further service. These are the groups:

  1. Reconnaissance and assault units, air force, special forces.
  2. Combat supply units of the Russian Armed Forces, radio troops.
  3. Logistics and defense services, under- and surface departments.

Standards for female military personnel

Employment in contract service is provided for women who have reached the age of 19, but not older than 35. They have their own requirements.

Monitoring of the medical condition during the physical endurance test is carried out by an authorized medical professional, who must be at the test site to measure blood pressure and heart rate.

The intensity of the workout should be determined taking into account the pulse rhythm, and is divided for female employees in the following order:

Pulse rate (beats/min)
1 2 3 4 5
MinimumUp to 125Up to 120Up to 115Up to 110Up to 105
Average126-145 121-140 116-135 110-130 106-125

Testing a soldier's endurance

The results of the tests are subject to evaluation in points, which are awarded on the basis of the order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation dated April 21, 2009 No. 200, Appendix 15, which contains a table of points for performing physical training exercises for military women.

The level of endurance of employees is assessed when performing various complex tasks. They include tasks for endurance, speed, agility and other applied professional skills. Their number and complete list are contained in the training standards. When performing tasks, only those identified in the list are assigned, taking into account the job duties performed and the location where they are carried out.

For example, newly employed people cover various running distances, do pull-ups and swim. The results shown are assessed on the basis of a scoring table on a scale of 100 units. An “excellent” rating is given when tasks are completed with 75 points and above, “good” - from 60, and “satisfactory” - from 35.

If the fulfilled standards cannot be measured in numerical terms, then the assessment can be carried out on other grounds:

  • “excellent” - the task was completed in accordance with its description, without errors, easily and with confidence;
  • “good” - when performing the exercise, all requirements were met, but minor mistakes were made (insufficient frequency of movements, small flexion of the limbs, performing elements using force with a small swing or booster, touching the apparatus without losing tempo);
  • “satisfactory” - the task was carried out uncertainly with significant shortcomings, but in accordance with the description;
  • “unsatisfactory” - failure to fulfill indicators or their distortion.

Based on the results of annual inspections, military personnel are recertified and their rotation to other duty stations is possible.

Features of training for female military personnel

The physiological characteristics of the body of female employees make it possible to set minimum loads during a certain period that they must perform. Basically, physical training for women is of a general strengthening and comprehensive nature, and is not associated with training certain muscle groups or developing skills for conducting combat operations in direct contact with enemy units.

For this reason, programs for maintaining this category of military in excellent physical shape are drawn up, taking into account the specifics of the unit and the type of military formation in which it serves. At the same time, the strength load complex includes tasks from the guidelines for physical training, as well as individual exercises involving jumping rope and long jumps, squats and various acrobatic movements.

Physical physical fitness chart for female military personnel

The volume of loads is distributed by age, and takes into account the physiological characteristics of this category of employees.

The efforts directed by the leadership of the RF Armed Forces to maintain the physical training of their employees make it possible to maintain a high degree of combat effectiveness and strength endurance of personnel. Thanks to this, today the Russian army forms a formidable competitor to the strongest armed forces in the world and ensures a balance of power in the face of the threat of attack by other states.

Of course, current physical training requirements differ from the standards of the Soviet army. But they still remain at the proper level for a Russian soldier.

Physical training standards for conscripts

A large amount of physical activity in the Russian troops is needed to ensure that conscripts are always ready for military activities. Preparatory activities for the delivery of indicators are carried out in several options:

  • training sessions;
  • morning work-out;
  • sports and team work;
  • training process in combat training activities.

Practical classes consist of several main types of tasks:

  • acceleration training;
  • exercises containing elements of gymnastics;
  • passing obstacles;
  • hand-to-hand combat;
  • sport games;
  • cross-country skiing;
  • complex exercises.

The readiness indicators for conscripts are such that their implementation will not be difficult for a young man who went in for sports before joining the army.

Let us study in the table below the standards in the army in 2017 for conscripts:

Table 1. Indicators of physical fitness of conscripts

Features of physical readiness for contract employees

Persons who decide to serve under a contract will also be interested in familiarizing themselves with physical fitness standards. These indicators for contract soldiers can be divided by age category and gender. Recently, more and more girls want to serve in the Russian army. Therefore, standards of preparedness for service were also prescribed for ladies.

Based on gender and age, contract soldiers are divided into the following groups:

Table 2. Sex and age groups of contract military personnel

The sports readiness of citizens who decide to serve in the army under a contract can be assessed by meeting the minimum requirements of all exercises. Those servicemen who, upon joining the army for contract service, were unable to overcome the minimum threshold of physical readiness standards, are given 5 months to improve their performance, and then pass the set of standards again.

If the retake ends in failure, then the candidate for service is sent “to the court” of the certification commission.

Passing the standards in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is considered a very important stage of service, since all information about the physical abilities of the employee will be written down in the characteristics and certification sheet. Military personnel who achieve good results in passing physical fitness standards are encouraged and awarded in every possible way with gifts and salary bonuses, and are also marked with insignia.

Physical training for both contract soldiers and conscripts is 5 hours per week. Much attention is paid to morning exercises, as it makes a significant contribution to the formation of endurance, strength and speed.

It is worth noting that girls serving in the army are required to do their own morning exercises.

Features of physical training for female military personnel

All training indicators for women serving in the army are formed taking into account the physiological capabilities of the female body. For example, the norm of weekly physical activity for female military personnel is somewhat different from the indicators for men:

Table 3. Weekly amount of physical activity for women in the RF Armed Forces

Special physical training classes are provided for women and girls serving in the army. All of them are, as a rule, of a general strengthening nature, not aimed at training any individual muscle groups. Among these exercises are the following:

  • squats;
  • jumping rope;
  • standing long jump;
  • acrobatic activities.

Physical fitness standards for contract military personnel

So, as stated in the order of the Ministry of Defense, here are the requirements for the power data of citizens who decide to enroll in military service under a contract:

Table 4. Normal physical fitness indicators for contract soldiers

Type of tasks Minimum indicators for different groups of military personnel

Contract military work involves more strength and mental expenditures compared to training conscript soldiers. Therefore, the standards must be passed at a high level.

To summarize, we can say that excellent sports training is a very realistic way to advance in the army, establishing yourself as a skilled and strong fighter.

Even if you are not going to serve in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, you can always test your strength by comparing the results with army standards. After all, as they say, there is no limit to perfection!
