This guide will be entirely devoted to weapons in Warframe, which are of interest to many gamers - from beginners to regulars of the project. In our review you will find out information related to upgrading weapons, their varieties and features in this game. You will also find out the answer to a seemingly rhetorical question - what is the best weapon in Warframe?

All weapons in Warframe are divided into several types and can be primary, secondary, or melee. Each individual item is characterized by a unique set of parameters that you can improve with the help of special modifications. Some types of weapons have an alternative cover, but at the same time it not only changes it visually, but also slightly adjusts the characteristics, raising some parameters and worsening others.

When you use any weapon in battle, you gain experience points. Once you reach a certain number, you will increase your rank. And so on up to the maximum 30! For each subsequent rank, the weapon gains a capacity point, where you install modules.

Best weapon for beginners:

There are a total of eight slots for placing modules. You don't have to pay anything to install or remove modifications - neither credits nor platinum. This can be done at any time, except during battles. The main thing is to have the right weapon, a free slot and modification. If you delete a mod, it will not disappear anywhere, but will go straight to your inventory. At the same time, the weapon will have a free capacity point.

Starting weapons in Warframe

All players who create a new character begin Warframe with a starting set of weapons:

  • The main weapon is the MK1-Breyton rifle.
  • Additional - pistol "Lato".
  • Melee combat - Skan sword.

As you understand, you shouldn’t expect any incredible parameters and characteristics from this set of weapons. However, let's look at each item separately!

Rifle "MK1-Breyton"

Rifle "MK1-Breyton"

"MK1-Brayton"- This is the starting weapon in Warframe, occupying the main slot.

  • A universal rifle that is useful in all situations.
  • Weak rate of fire and lower damage compared to the regular Breyton rifle.
  • The rifle should be used before you get to the Mercury mission.
  • As soon as 15,000 credits appear, we recommend selling this weapon and buying something more powerful.

Pistol "Lato"

Starting pistol "Lato"

"Lato" is a pistol that is ideal for close to mid-range combat in the early stages of the game.

  • He has good enough damage to start the game.
  • Decent rate of fire.
  • A small recoil that will allow you to make several headshots in a row.
  • Of course, comparing this pistol with prime weapons or donation barrels is pointless.

Skana Sword

Starting Sword "Skan"

"Skana"— a starting weapon that occupies a melee slot.

  • A bit like a katana.
  • Quite a good option in the early stages of the game.

Clan weapons in Warframe

This is another type of weapon. To receive clan weapons, the first thing you need to do is join a clan. But then you will need to make a clan key, and after that create the necessary weapons in the forge. At the same time, you will have to find a powerful clan that will also agree to accept you under its banner.

The fact is that to get a forge you will have to build an Oracle, various accessories for it, and also create several laboratories at once. The latter are used to enable the study of new types of weapons. Only after you have done your research will you be able to purchase clan weapons in Warframe.

More details about the laboratories:

  • In the biological laboratory you can study the mutagenic mass, which is necessary for the production of toxins for weapons. You can create "Torid" or "Akrid". The first shoots toxic charges, and the second shoots acid needles.
  • The chemical laboratory is studying the detonite injector, which is used as the main element in the creation of fire weapons. You can learn Ignis and Ogris, which use Fire Stream and Detonite Projectiles respectively.
  • In the energy laboratory you can study the "Fieldron" (a unique container necessary for storing hot liquids), as well as the weapons "Prova", "Supra", "Dera", "Lanka" and "Stream Rifle". "Prova" is a melee weapon with energy damage, "Supra" - laser weapons, "Dera" - a plasma rifle, and "Lanka" - a high-speed machine gun.

So what are the best weapons in Warframe?

It is impossible to answer this question unequivocally, and that is why we called it “rhetorical.” You will not be able to find a universal weapon in the game that will be appropriate and most effective in any situation. Of course, each class and type of weapon contains more powerful or weaker options.

But you don’t need to think narrowly and look only at damage, since there are other, equally important parameters, such as recoil, rate of fire, shooting accuracy and clip size. Therefore, damage alone does not solve anything! In order for you to be able to destroy your enemies as efficiently as possible, you will have to find a weapon with the optimal combination of parameters.

Therefore, before choosing any weapon, you must understand why you need it. Melee firearms in Warframe should allow you to fire as many shots per minute as possible while still having low recoil, while the same sniper rifles can sacrifice recoil but have high accuracy.

Whatever weapon you choose, you can find advantages and disadvantages in any situation. For example, the Magnus revolver is quite powerful and is suitable for all factions. With its help you can kill both infected and ordinary soldiers. In addition, you can add a very impressive appearance, but it also has its drawbacks - huge recoil and a low clip capacity (8 rounds).

Thus, if you want to find the best weapons in Warframe, then you should focus on the top ones, i.e. strive to purchase the most expensive one. You can consider a set of weapons from “Twin Gremlins”, “Doe” and “Mithras”. Just look at the accuracy of the Mithra, which literally allows you to shoot with your eyes closed, and at the same time the weapon has a fairly high power. Getting such weapons is not so easy, but the effort and investment are worth it. You will have to either complete difficult quests or purchase weapons for donations.

  • The Mithra melee weapon is used to shoot circular blades and allows you to literally cut opponents into pieces. Requires 220 platinum to purchase. It's a lot, but it's worth it!
  • The Doe is a medium-range rifle with high damage that is useful for assault operations. It looks no worse than the Mitra, but will cost you a little more - 225 platinum. For 40,000 credits you can buy a blueprint for the Doe rifle.
  • “Twin Gremlins” are two pistols occupying one slot, although characterized by a low rate of fire, but capable of delivering huge damage with maximum accuracy. They cost 190 platinum.

Analysis of available weapons in Warframe

Below we will not consider prime guns and clan weapons, since to obtain them you need to be an experienced fighter, have a high-level clan, or have a good donation. In general, this weapon is, so to speak, for the elite, but with due diligence, sooner or later you will become one. By then you won't need any guides!

Unlike many shooters and action games that use guns, Warframe does not have any kind of leveling system. For example, it is absolutely not necessary to change the Scan sword for a new melee weapon when moving to the third or fourth level. The effectiveness of the weapon used will depend not on the level, but on other parameters and features. Regardless of what level and class your character is, you will deal the same damage with this weapon.

Melee weapons in Warframe are important at the beginning of the game, when you are fighting against low-level mobs, since almost all of them have minimal armor. At the same time, literally two or three bots of level 60 or higher will destroy Vauban or Nova while they cover the required distance. Most weapons of this type ignore any armor and can stun opponents. With its help, it is often possible to knock down an enemy if you perform jumping strikes.

There is no connection between this weapon and frames (impact time, etc.), but at the same time you must understand that when swinging a hammer, having good shields, you can destroy any enemy, while using an ordinary dagger to chop a mob with 1000 HP is very problematic.

In addition to the usual melee weapons, it is worth highlighting specific options, such as plasma swords, zorens and boomerangs. Although they cost a lot of money, most gamers consider them practically useless. In classic builds, Kronus is assembled immediately after passing Mercury. When you kill a Thief for the first time, the chance of dropping a Kronus is 100%.

Among other swords, you can consider crafting “Fanga”, “Glaive”, dark dagger and “Furax”.

Concerning pistols, then they are also not tied to frames, but are selected depending on the chosen play style. It's rare to get "Prophet" out of a Thief. But this pistol, like the Kraken and Lex, are used for leisurely shooting of mobs. The Bronco will be effective at a distance of no more than 10 meters, while the Viper and Bolto will use up their ammunition in almost a matter of seconds.

If you are a beginner, then don’t even think about crafting or buying “Prophet”, “Viper” and “Bronco”, since they require very specific leveling. I also suggest ignoring “Furis” and “Sicairus” in any situation.

Sniper rifles should be used by professional gamers, since they have little ammunition, and cartridges do not drop out that often. In addition, a lot of time is spent on leveling up and knocking out the necessary modifications.

Bows no less demanding than sniper rifles - it requires experience in the game, the presence of special modifications, and the search for ammunition, which is quite rare.

From shotguns at the beginning of the game you will be able to use “Boar” and “Stran”. Both specimens perform well in short-range firefights, but lose effectiveness after 30-40 meters. If you want to shoot into the distance, then select “Heck”, but it will require the fourth rank.

Shotguns require unique modifications, but most of them are compatible with rifles.

Slot machines- another type of weapon for which you will need ammunition. Don't forget the problems with recoil, spread during prolonged shooting, poor accuracy and mediocre damage relative to one shot (bullet). If you are a beginner, then you should not buy Barston or Grakata. In this case, acquiring Latron would be a smart move.

One of the popular weapons is the Brayton rifle (an improved version of the starting weapon).

Summarize:

  • The Grakata assault rifle, snipers, shotguns, bows and machine guns are suitable for survivable frames.
  • Unsuccessful builds would be a sniper rifle or bow with Lex, Prophet or Kraken, as well as Grakata or Brayton with Furax or Viper.

The level of development of both the Warframe and any of its weapons increases due to the player receiving synthesis(analogous to experience in other MMOs). Synthesis is awarded automatically during a mission for killing enemies, helping teammates, completing tasks, etc. or can be found as "loot" from containers. With each new level, the warframe or its weapon increases by one modification container, used to set modifiers. The maximum possible level at the time of open beta is 30.
WITH updates 7.6 Each level of the warframe, in addition to increasing the modification capacity, increases the passive indicators of energy shield, health and energy. At what level and by what number of units the increase occurs is not yet clear. At level 30, the warframe receives a maximum 200% bonus to energy shield and health, and a 50% bonus to energy output. These bonuses are applied to the base performance of the warframe, without taking into account installed modifiers.
Increasing the level of development of equipment and the warframe itself leads to an increase in its skill level, which does not provide any specific bonuses at the time of open beta, but is necessary for purchasing various items on the market.

Mastery- an in-game way of determining how (relatively) skilled a player is. Mastery points obtained from leveling up weapons, guards and warframes increase the player's rank by a certain number of points (points). Leveling up is necessary to be able to create and use more powerful weapons, for example, clan weapons. When you click on the displayed mastery progress: the very first number is your mastery rank; The number below Mastery x.xxx reflects your overall progress, points earned for all mastery levels, while the number below shows the amount of mastery required for the next rank.

Rank Up

To gain mastery points, the player must level up weapons, warframes, or guards. Leveling up weapons and guardians adds 100 base points per level up, while leveling up a Warframe adds 200 base points. Typically, 100 mastery points can be obtained for completing some missions in the solar system (example: defense, clearing), and on capture missions, players receive 10 mastery points (only when capturing targets without killing other enemy targets). Points are counted only for the first passage, this means that if you completed it 1 time and received points, then the points will not be credited the second time. Note: It is important to remember that the rank is increased once for each weapon (or warframe), this is done to avoid “cheating”. In other words, it will not be possible to pump Skana to level 30, sell it, buy it again at level 0 and pump it up to 30 again, receiving 100 rank points for each level.

Mastery points are given only for one leveling up to rank 30. After Polarization, the item does NOT give mastery points!

Available ranks

The maximum player level specified in Achievements at the time of open beta testing (OBT) is 30. Currently, by assessing each available skill point, you can reach rank 16.

Factions

Grineer

Being extremely numerous, the Grineer expanded their vile empire beyond Earth into all sectors of the solar system. After the Grineer discovered cloning technology, they seized control of Earth with their vast numbers. Despite being at the height of their power, the Grineer army is physically declining and their abilities are becoming increasingly primitive due to constant cloning. Therefore, the Grineer are forced to use technological devices as a crutch to support their genetic deterioration. The ideology of hatred and discrimination towards the Tenno forces the Grineer to continue to move forward in the face of the inevitability of their collapse.

Corpus

Corpus is the dominant proto-corporation of people who maintain and manage the Solar Rails trade routes. They themselves are rarely seen - they are much more famous for the robots that serve them. The social structure of the Corpus is believed to reflect the ancient commercial guilds of Old Earth. Their production methods combine technological techniques and ritual traditions, in part because the ancient materials they use from the Orokin era are incomprehensible to them. They manage the entire supply chain of goods that circulate in the solar system. Corpus treat Orokin artifacts as a resource for profit at any cost.

Infested

The Infected is described as a disease, and its victims are metamorphic suffering without cure. Living organisms were absorbed and merged into crazy associations. Some species are animals and cruel, but at the same time, most have signs of organization, gathering in flocks, they flock to ships and colonies. Their origins are unclear, but there is historical evidence of a similar epidemic before the Dissolution.

Tenno

Tenno are the descendants of an ancient mystical civilization of lost Orokin era warriors on earth. Preserved for centuries in cryogenic chambers, the Tenno now awaken to a new war to fight and confront enemy factions as the sole carriers of the Warframes that were created during the Orokin era. While the memory of the Tenno has faded over time, their prowess with Warframe's guns, blades, and exo-armor has never waned.

Weapons: Damage Types

Physical Damage:

Most weapons in the game deal three types of damage: Impact, Pierce, and Slash. Each faction reacts differently to these types of damage. The largest amount of overall weapon damage in the game is represented by these three damage types. Mods affect changes in damage and its type. The developers tried to avoid assigning 100% damage to any one type for weapons, which will allow them to deal damage to all types of enemies.

Elemental Damage:

In addition to the three basic damage types, there is also Elemental damage that can be added on top of the total, depending on which Elemental mods are applied. For some rare weapons, elemental damage is the only type of damage it deals.

Basic types of elemental damage:

  1. Fire
  2. Electricity

Combined Elemental Damage Types:

  1. Explosion (Fire+Ice)
  2. Gas (Fire+Poison)
  3. Radiation (Fire + Electricity)
  4. Magnet (Ice + Electricity)
  5. Virus (Ice + Poison)
  6. Corrosion (Poison + Electricity)

Additional effects:

All weapons in the game have a STATUS parameter. It is he who indicates the probability, in percentage, that the additional effect of any type of damage (physical, elemental or combined) can work. All types of damage can affect the target's condition, including you:

  • Impact: Causes the target to stagger.
  • Pierce: weakened (reduces target's damage level).
  • Cutting: Bleeding (ongoing health damage, recovery blocked).
  • Fire: Ignite (fire damage over time).
  • Ice: Slows down the target.
  • Electricity: Stun the target, electrically torpor.
  • Toxin: poisoning (lasting damage to health).
  • Explosion: Knocks down the target.
  • Gas: poisonous substances for several targets (mass infection).
  • Radiation: confusion (interference, difficult to aim, the enemy starts shooting at places where any sound comes from, which is why they can attack allies).
  • Magnetic: decrease shield (maximum reserve).
  • Viral: decrease in health (maximum reserve).
  • Corrosive: armor reduction (maximum reserve).

The chance of effects triggering can be increased using special mods.

Shop

The name speaks for itself. Here we can purchase various equipment. Bookmarked Sets We can purchase ready-made sets with a warframe and his favorite equipment, a set of avatars, a set of paints and much more for platinum. Bookmarked Warframes You can purchase a ready-made warframe for platinum or buy a blueprint for a warframe for credits. Bookmark Weapon is the same as the tab with warframes, the only difference is that so far there is only one weapon that cannot be purchased with credits - Glaive. Bookmarked Equipment You can purchase Guardians, ammo, first aid kits, Orokin Catalysts/Reactors, as well as new helmets for warframes. Well, the Platinum tab - when you click on it, we will be prompted to go to the site where we can buy Platinum.

Forge

Purchased items are automatically sent to the forge. On the left you see drawings of weapons and warframes, and on the right you see the components/resources we have.

Let's take a closer look:

Here is information about what we are creating (in this case Banshee Chassis), the resources required for creation,
also about the cost of creation (15,000 credits) and! creation time. Yes, yes, in this game it takes time to create according to the drawing, and quite a lot. As you can see, the time indicated here is 12 o'clock. It takes 3 days to create a warframe.
When you click on the create button, the creation process will begin. If you are too impatient, then there is an opportunity especially for you to speed up the creation process for platinum. When accelerated, your item will be immediately created and you can pick it up. After completing the crafting, we need to click on the “Pick up” button and then the item will appear in our inventory and we will be able to dispose of it at any time. To create a weapon, you just need to buy a blueprint and get the necessary materials.

Creating warframes is a more complex matter. First, just like with weapons, we need to buy a warframe drawing. After purchasing the drawing, we see that we need three parts of the warframe, namely Helmet, Chassis, Systems. All this must be knocked out from bosses. Below is a list of where spare parts are found for a specific warframe:

  • Excalibur Pluto - Hades
  • LokiNeptune - Psamathe
  • Amber Saturn - Tethys
  • Rino Venus - Fossa
  • Ash Uranus - Titania
  • Trinity Phobos - Iliad
  • Meg Mars - War
  • Nyx Eris - Naeglar
  • Frost Ceres - Exta
  • Sarina Sedna - Merrow
  • Valkyrie Jupiter - Themisto
  • Hydroid Earth - Secret location (unlocked by lighthouse)
  • Nova Europe - Naamah
  • Nekros Orokin Ruins - Assassination

Also, some warframes can be studied in the clan dojo or in another way:

  • Banshee Researched in the dojo in the Tenno Laboratory
  • Volt Researched in the dojo in the Tenno Laboratory
  • Marshmallow Researched in the dojo in the Tenno Laboratory
  • Oberon Blueprint Pieces drop from leaders
  • Vauban Parts of the drawing can be found on the alarms
  • Mirage Parts of the drawing are found using hidden messages

So, having knocked out the necessary drawings and obtained resources, we can begin to create these parts of the warframe. Each piece takes 12 hours to create. Having created all the parts (all at the same time), we can begin creating the warframe itself. In 3 days it will be ready and we will be able to play for it, and all the drawings will disappear after creation. If you suddenly want to brag to your friends, then there are statistics where all your achievements are entered. Click on your nickname and statistics will open to you.

Please note that your profile has a rank that is separate from your Warframe level. If you cannot buy any weapon due to a low rank, then this means the rank of your profile. In this case, the number 3 means that my profile level is 3 and it is impossible to equip a weapon for rank 4. Below is the amount of experience needed to reach the next rank. When you reach a new rank, you are asked to take a test to test your abilities. If you pass successfully, you are assigned a new rank; if you fail, you will be retaken the next day. Next, you can see the best players around the world, as well as see your ranking. Bookmarked Deck select the artifact you want to equip.

The game was developed by Digital Extremes for Playstation 4 and Microsoft Windows. The player controls a member of the race Tenno- an ancient warrior who woke up from centuries of suspended animation for new wars, battles and resistance with hostile factions - the Grineer, a race of militarized people, the Corps, the merchant guild and the Infected. Tenno use suits that give them special abilities called warframes.

The game is designed for four people. Players wear an Exoskeleton called Warframe (with its own set of skills and characteristics) and are equipped with 3 types of weapons:

- Primary Weapon(such as rifles, shotguns or sniper weapons)

- Secondary Weapon(usually a pistol, but submachine guns, kunai and shuriken are also available)

- Melee Weapons(swords, twin swords, knives, axes, scythes, boomerang, gloves, etc.).

Players are given experience points for killing enemies, completing tasks and missions, to increase the level of their weapons and armor. Warframes and their weapons can be modified, modifiers can be installed, removed or upgraded between missions.

Players will also have to hack the terminals, completing a puzzle mini-game to complete a specific goal or escape isolation.
The player can jump, run, slide and roll, and combine techniques to quickly move through the level and avoid enemy fire. The game also allows players to use parkour techniques to avoid enemies or enemy fire, avoid obstacles, or gain access to a secret area.
Credits, ammo, resources and modifiers can be found in certain locations, such as lockers and destructible containers, and are also dropped by enemies. New weapons, warframes and other equipment can be purchased in the store (the items themselves or their blueprints), using credits earned in the game or platinum purchased through a microtransaction. Blueprints can be built using resources found during the game.

Missions

There are currently 11+1 side mission types. Secondary missions or secondary objectives can be randomly added independent of the main mission, but they are not known or available until the main mission is completed. The missions are scattered across all the planets of the solar system (along with the dwarf planets Pluto, Ceres, Eris and Sedna, as well as Mars' moon Phobos).

Mission types:

Assassination is a mission to eliminate an enemy (boss) unique to each planet. The boss usually has unique abilities and weapons, which sets them apart from regular soldiers;
Capture - players need to capture the target and return to the extraction point;
Survival - life support systems are turned off in the location, and in order to complete the mission goal, players need to kill opponents for at least 5 minutes to obtain oxygen, as well as activate special oxygen capsules;
Rescue - a mission to find a hostage and escort him to the evacuation point;
Sabotage - players need to find a reactor and destroy the reactor core, or a random number of mining machines;
Sabotage - players need to bring a data package to the terminal, load it there and return to the evacuation point;
Espionage - steal several diplomats with data (by unloading them from the terminal) and deliver them to the evacuation point;
Defense - Players must defend the target from waves of enemies. There are two types of defense; Endless defense (the wave becomes more and more difficult each time) and mobile defense (players must defend key points for a certain amount of time);
Clear - Players are required to kill a certain number of enemies.
Interception - the goal of the mission is to capture and defend 4 towers.
Hacking is a mission currently only available on Ceres. The goal of the mission is to capture and defend a moving tower.
A raid is a mission whose goal is to find an object, then transport it, while preventing its destruction.
Extraction of artifacts - the goal of the mission is to protect miners from destruction and charge them with energy using batteries that fall from special enemies.
There are also other missions, Alerts and Tactical Alerts, which can have a unique or any of the available mission or faction types (regardless of the original mission or faction type) and are only available for a limited amount of time. These missions can be more difficult, but can be rewarded with more credits and/or special rewards (for example: rare blueprints or resources (sometimes in large quantities, depending on the type of resource)). Another mission type is Nightmare Mode, which significantly increases the difficulty of an existing mission (while maintaining the original mission type and faction), but rewards players with unique modifiers.

Factions

There are currently only 4 factions in the game, three of which are hostile. The faction you will play for is Tenno, descendants of warriors from the bygone Orokin era. After an unspecified war, the remaining survivors are the Tenno, who were in suspended animation for centuries before being awakened by Lotus (voiced by Rebecca Ford, Community Manager for Digital Extremes). Lotus is a mysterious (though benevolent) figure who guides them during their missions. Tenno have excellent command of Warframes, which become their weapons and assistants.

Hostile factions[edit | edit wiki text]
Grineer— An empire of cloned soldiers equipped with heavy armor and not the most powerful and high-quality weapons.
Frame— A faction of merchants with weak but well-armed infantry. The main troops are robots.
Infected— Representatives of the previous two factions, infected with the Technocyte Plague. Almost all infected fight in close combat, sometimes there are “Ancients” - stronger enemies with special abilities.
In the Orokin Tower, there is another faction - the "Enslaved", it consists of raiders and interlopers (soldiers of previous factions) who were exposed to the influence of the tower.

Also in the game there are enemies that do not belong to any of the factions, for example Desert Stingrays - enemies that resemble the appearance of ordinary stingrays.

During missions, enemies such as Stalker - Tenno hunter and also Zanuck (miniboss of the Corpus faction) and Grastragh Three (corresponding to Grineer), with the goal of killing a specific player.
